The National Concrete Canoe Competition will follow the
2007 National Concrete Canoe Competition Rules
and Regulations. For competition rules please
refer to the national
canoe website. In addition, Cornell
University has the following competition rules your school
must follow:
- All
competitors must be undergraduates.
- All
judges' decisions concerning compliance to the rules
and awarding of points will be considered final.
- Any
intentional act of dishonesty during the competition
will result in expulsion of the school from the
competition.
- Results
of the competitions will be announced at the awards
ceremony Saturday night, April 14.
- Alcohol
will not be permitted at the competition.
- Scoring
will be consistent with the national competition;
therefore the faculty race, if there is one, will
not count towards the final score.
- Petit
races will not be held. Ranking will be determined
by time.
- All
participants must wear a lifejacket. Also, please
wear wetsuits. The waters will be frigid!
Canoe
drop-off procession (Saturday, 6:00 am - 8:00 am):
Due
to limited parking space and ongoing construction near
Lynah Rink, we will require schools to shuffle in on
Saturday morning one after another to drop off their
canoes and bridges. The order in which this will happen
will be determined soon and posted on the website.
