Teaching Laboratory Experience

  • Created a new laboratory module for students to visually and quantitatively characterize dispersion in open channel flow as a function of depth and bottom roughness. The module includes computer data acquisition through a computer controlled robotic sampling system.
  • Purchased and installed analytical instruments, computers, software and miscellaneous laboratory supplies to equip a state of the art Environmental Engineering laboratory ($270,000 budget).
  • Set up laboratory scale experiments and calibrated laboratory instruments for environmental engineering processes courses (CEE 757 and 758) and for a fluid mechanics course (CEE 331).
